Prof Bernard Mach - Scientific Partner

Bernard Mach, a Scientific Partner of Aravis, is the former Professor and Director of the Department of Genetics and Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva. He is the inventor of cDNA cloning and is specialized in the molecular biology of immune response genes.

Professor Mach is the founder and has been the chairman of NovImmune from 2000 until 2008. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Serono (1997) and of Lonza Group (2001) and was co-founder and member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Biogen (1978 - 1992). From 1994 to 2005, he has been Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Lombard Odier Immunology Fund. He is a scientific advisor to various other non-profit institutions and companies.

During his career, Bernard Mach has received many honors and awards. He was member of the Swiss Science Council (1974-1984), and is member of both the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences and the French Academy of Sciences.
