The acquisition of SOGEM has been one of the largest European wind transactions in 2012. SOGEM owns the Bandelera and Rodera Alta wind parks near Salamanca in the Spanish region Castile and León. Equipped with a total of 35 Gamesa G90 2.0 MW turbines the two wind parks have an installed capacity of 70 MW and are producing approximately 180 GWh of electric power per year. The wind park supplies energy equivalent to the consumption of approximately 69’000 households and reduces about 207’000 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
